एक दिन एक भेड़िया जंगल से निकलकर भोजन की तलाश में गाँव की ओर चला गया रास्ते में उसे एक कुत्ता मिलाकुत्ता मोटा-ताज़ा और स्वस्थ था जबकि भेड़िया दुबला और गंदा था क्योंकि उसे जंगल में भोजन के लिए बहुत भाग-दौड़ करनी पड़ती थी
भेड़िए को भूखा देखकर कुत्ते को दया आ गई वह बोला
मेरे साथ चलो मेरे मालिक बहुत अच्छे हैं वे तुम्हारी अच्छी देखभाल करेंगे
भेड़िए ने सोचा कितना अजीब प्रस्ताव है
फिर भी वह कुत्ते के साथ चलने को तैयार हो गया चलते-चलते भेड़िए ने देखा कि कुत्ते की गर्दन के पास कुछ बाल झड़े हुए हैं
भेड़िए ने पूछा ये क्या हुआ
कुत्ता बोला ओह, ये मेरे गले का निशान है रात को मुझे जंजीर से बांध दिया जाता है
यह सुनते ही भेड़िया चौंक गया और बोला
मुझे तुम्हारे आराम की ज़रूरत नहीं अगर उसकी कीमत मेरी आज़ादी है
यह कहकर वह भाग गया और वापस जंगल लौट गया
नैतिक शिक्षा (Moral): स्वतंत्रता सबसे कीमती होती है।

The Dog and the Wolf
One day a wolf left the forest and reached a village searching for food. Suddenly he met a dog. The dog was plump and healthy. But the wolf was skinny and dirty because he had to run a lot in the forest to hunt for food.
Seeing that the wolf was starving the dog decided to help him. He went up to the wolf and said, Come with me to my master. He is a good man. He will take good care of you.What a strange request, the wolf thought. However, he decided to go with the dog. Just then, he noticed some hair around the dog’s neck had fallen. The dog explained, It is the mark of my collar. It’s used to keep me chained at night.
The wolf was shocked. “I don’t need your feast at the cost of my freedom,” the wolf said and ran away.
Moral: Freedom is precious.
